You join us slap bang in the middle of Leeds United’s most successful era in their history, exemplified by no nonsense sledgehammers like Jack Charlton, Billy Bremner and Norman Hunter. The latter of which was nicknamed ‘bites your legs’. Which is an offence that would be up for a straight red by today’s standards but back in the sixties most players ate for breakfast. Not to be outdone, Chelsea fielded their own psychopath in the shape of Ron ‘Chopper’ Harris. Honestly, it’s a wonder people didn’t actually die in those days. Anyway, Chelsea lost spectacularly, as you can see.
