Wolves 3 – 1 West Bromwich Albion

Ain’t no derby like a Black Country derby. Well, the jury’s out on that one, but this was a game for the ages. Clint Mansell v Frank Skinner and Adrian Chiles. 35 games into the 2010/11 season, Wolves were in deep trouble, lying in 19th place. So just what they needed – a match up against their fiercest rivals. As you can see, it went well. So much so that they leapfrogged both Wigan and Blackpool and into 17th, where they stayed for the remainder of the season. Painful for WBA, but they were already safe by this point, which wasn’t the case every season. By a long shot. Everyone’s happy. Kind of.
