1966 and all that. Black and white. Jack Charlton with his head in his hands. Bobby Moore and the Queen. They think it’s all over. Don’t be silly. We’ll be banging on about this for over 50 years, lads. As World Cup finals go, this is actually a decent spectacle. Remember 1994 or 2010? Exactly. Rubbish. Yes, I’m aware that one of England’s goals shouldn’t have counted but Frank Lampard paid for that in South Africa, so I think it’s all square.
