England 3 – 6 Hungary

If you’re a relatively normal person, you fall into one of two categories. Category number one: an England fan. Category two: people that enjoy watching England get absolutely battered. Back in 1953 England had only lost once at home in their history, but let’s not make out that this was meant to be an easy match. The Hungarians were officially the best team in the world at this point. I think they demonstrated that by turning the English team into goulash at Wembley. Still, I’m sure England would be much better prepared in the rematch a year later. Ah.
