This is the second clash between the meatballs and the roast beefs in the year 2012. You could say the previous encounter was worth ‘more’, but this one featured an extra goal, one of which was an absolute mindbender. Late on in the game, Joe Hart did something spectacularly Joe Hart-y by misjudging a long ball and came bombing out of his area. Obviously not being able to use his hands, he had to go with his head. His clearance pretty much laid the ball up – volleyball style – to Zlatan Ibrahimović, who proceeded to overhead kick the ball into the English net from absolutely miles out. He’s doesn’t need the incouragement but it was one of the greatest goals ever scored.
