West Ham United 0 – 4 Manchester City

If you’re viewing this result in present day, you can be forgiven for thinking it’s fairly apt (though West Ham have been doing very well lately under David Moyes). However, it wasn’t always the case. Back in 1969, playing the Hammers was a much different deal. Boasting a line up featuring three World Cup winners (you know the ones) as well as Bonds, Brooking, Redknapp (H) and Lampard (F, senior), coming away with such a convincing result is most impressive. Despite how it looks, Lee Bowyer wasn’t playing for Man City.
