Liverpool 0 – 1 Southampton

At the time of writing, this is the Saints’ last win at Anfield. So we’re going back a good decade here. Aside from that, you may think this is just a cheeky smash and grab away victory. Which it kind of is. What you don’t see is that within a year or so, Liverpool had decided they wanted to BE Southampton. Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert were all Reds players by 2015. And I’ve not even mentioned Sadio Mané or Virgil van Dijk yet. But now I have. Poor Southampton. What can you do?
