Brazil 4 – 1 Italy

Considered one of the greatest football matches – and demolitions – of all time, I think it’s safe to say that if you haven’t even seen the fourth Brazil goal you’re probably from outer space or something. A majestic move that involved eight separate outfield players, Carlos Alberto’s right footed thunderbastard is up there with the most replayed goals of all time. But it’s a team effort, exemplified none more so than Jairzinho’s accomplishment of scoring in every single game he played in across the tournament (six in total). Also, the victory meant Mario Zagallo became the first person to win the trophy as a player and a manager, at the age of 38. Which is, frankly, obscene.
